Hi! I am Sara Kaufman. I am a Mom to 4 year old twins, a wife, a teacher, and a Beachbody Coach. I want to help inspire you to live a healthy and happy life, and help you reach all of your fitness goals!
My fitness journey really began after I had my twins. I had gained 85 pounds during my pregnancy and only 40 of those pounds came off quickly after Owen & Lindy were born. I was depressed and upset about my “new” body. I just felt like my body had been taken away from me. Everything was so hard to do. Walking up the stairs was such a chore, and when I looked in the mirror the lady that I saw was not me.
When my twins were 4 months old I decided to take back control of my body. We had an amazing jogging stroller so I decided that I would take up running. I signed up for first 5k and I started training. I did Couch to 5k and I also started Weight Watchers, and I must say that these two things together truly changed my life. Once I started running I did a 5 k every month for 6 months, then I did an 8k, then a 10k, 12k, 15k, and finally in April 2013 I did a Hallf Marathon. I have done 4 Half Marathons since then, and I plan to a full marathon in 2015.
As I have gotten more into my running I have noticed that I need to other activities besides just running. That’s where Beachbody comes into play. I participated in a Beachbody Challenge in November 2014. I worked out 6 days a week doing Piyo (a Beachbody Fitness Program), running, and swimming. I also replaced one meal a day with a Shakeology Shake. These two things combined started giving me amazing results. That’s why I want to share it with you. I want everyone to discover the health and happiness that I have found through fitness and healthy eating.
