My family and I try to sit down together every morning and have breakfast together. One of our favorite recipes is this Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Mix that I found on Pinterest.
The only modification I make to the recipe is taking out the powdered milk so it is dairy free. When I make this recipe up, I double it and I store it in an airtight container.
Then in the morning we boil 2 cups of water.
Once the water comes to a boil, I add 2 cups of the oatmeal mix.
I stir the mixture and then let it come to a boil. Once it is boiling, I put a lid on the pot and turn off the heat. I let it sit for five minutes, and Viola! Breakfast is served!!
I top it with dried cranberries and chopped raw almonds. I will also add Unsweetened Almond Milk to it if it needs a little extra moisture. This is definitely a favorite for my family, and it is an easy way to get a hot breakfast on the table on a chaotic weekday morning.
